BASEBALL
• BENTONVILLE YOUTH SINGUPS: Bentonville Youth Softball and Bentonville Youth Baseball will be holding signups every Saturday in January from 9 a.m. to noon at Bentonville Fire Station No. 1 across from the Armory at the corner of Southwest A and Eighth street. Please park in the southeast corner of the parking lot. Baseball will also have a registration date on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Pizza Hut on S Walton Blvd. Softball signups will be held in two locations on Jan. 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Centerton Community Center 290 N Main Street and also at Batter Up on North Walton Blvd. For more information, www.bentonvillesoftball.org, www.bentonvillecalripken.org, and www.bentonvillebaberuth.org.

• WAR CATS TRYOUT: The Arkansas War Cats Minor League Football Club of the World Football League will host their first tryout on Saturday from 6:30-9 p.m. at All Star Sports Arena in Springdale. • COACHES NEEDED: The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas is seeking volunteer golf coaches for the season. Coaches will lead practice sessions at Benton or Washington County sites. • PICKLEBALL: If you're looking for a way to exercise and stay fit, the old childhood game of Pickleball is being offered at the Springdale Youth Center every Mon-Wed-Fri from 9-11 a.m.
RUGBY

SOCCER
• ROGERS LEAGUE: Registration for the 2009 Youth Spring Soccer League will be taken until Feb. 13 at the Rogers Activity Center. Children ages 5-16 are eligible to participate. Children must turn 5 by April 4, 2009 to participate. All U6-U12 players must register even if they played in the fall. The registration fees are as follows: Under 6 ($35), Under 7 through Under 12 ($40), Under 14 ($100), and Under 16 ($100). The U14 and U16 registration is only for players that did not play in the fall 2008 season. Each participant must have a current RAC membership ($20). • ROGERS LEAGUE: Registration for the Rogers Community-School Recreation Association girls fast-pitch softball program will be taken through March 20 at the Rogers Activity Center. The program begins with girls currently in kindergarten, and goes up to 18-Under (girls who did not turn 19 before January 1, 2009). Cost for grades K-1 is $40; cost for older divisions is $50. VOLLEYBALL
• OFFICIALS NEEDED: The Rogers Community-School Recreation Association is looking for adult referees to officiate games in the adult volleyball league. League games are played on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Referees will be paid $18 per game and each referee will usually work four games each night.
