Organization Donates $930 To Circle Of Life Hospice

SPRINGDALE -- Family, Career and Community Leaders of America District 1 donated $930 to Circle of Life Hospice at the group's annual district meeting Feb. 6 at Har-Ber High School in Springdale.
FCCLA District 1 consists of FCCLA chapters from middle, junior and high schools from the northwest corner of Arkansas. More than 50 chapters from Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers Bentonville and other smaller, surrounding schools were all present. District 1 meets annually and raises funds for a local charity located in the host town of the district meeting.
The Fort Smith Southside chapter raised the most of any other District 1 chapter, donating $42 to Circle of Life.
Executive Director Lou Sharp and Development Coordinator Meredith Adams were present to accept the check from theDistrict 1 officers.
"This was such an honor for this wonderful organization to select Circle of Life as the recipient for this year's fundraising efforts. FCCLA truly benefits and enables high school students to succeed in their future," Sharp said.
Circle of Life Hospice of Springdale cares for patients and their families when a life-limiting illness occurs. Circle of life cares for the body, mind and spirit of each patient and is able to provide medical attention to patients in the Earlene Howard Hospice Home, nursing facilities, assisted living homes and in patients' homes.
